After concluding the successful visit to Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi arrived to a warm welcome by BJP Karyakartas in New Delhi. Addressing the people gathered at the airport, PM Shri Modi said that whenever he visited any country, he made a point to share about India’s potential, the young talent and the skills they possessed.

“Whenever I speak about the culture and traditions of our country, I look into the eyes of world leaders and narrate it with great pride. This is because the people of this country have elected a government with full majority at the Centre,” he added.
Elaborating about the details of his meetings, PM Shri Modi said that he got the opportunity to interact with over 40 world leaders. He cited how they were excited about India’s G20 Presidency. The PM mentioned about him unveiling of bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Hiroshima as a symbol of peace. He also spoke about the release of translated version of ‘The Thirukkural’ in Tok Pisin language of Papua New Guinea.

Recalling the community programme held in Sydney, PM Shri Modi took a jibe at the Opposition parties on their decision to skip the inauguration of the new Parliament building. He said, “The programme was watched all over the world. Not only it was special due to the august presence of the Australian Prime Minister, but the programme also witnessed participation from former Australian PM and opposition leaders. It was a great display of democracy.”

Hitting out at the Opposition for questioning government’s decision to distribute covid vaccines to foreign nations, he stated that it helped save countless lives. He said, “We did it because we come from the land of Buddha and Gandhi. We are the people devoted to sadbhavna (goodwill). The world is expressing gratitude for this.”
