How CM Narendra Modi made fresh milk available for jawans at Kutch border » Bhajpa Ki Baat
The world knows that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi celebrates the festival of Diwali with Jawans at the border. This year he was in Kargil to celebrate the festival of lights with army men guarding the nation at international border. While on his visit, PM Shri Narendra Modi termed Jawans his family and said that his festival is incomplete without visiting them.
Many may have the impression that PM Shri Modi started visiting Jawans after taking over as Prime Minister of India. But that is not true.
Another Jawan raised the issue of availability of fresh milk instead of packaged ones available there. To everyone’s surprise, CM Shri Narendra Modi made availability of cows for the Jawans to get them fresh milk
Even before becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat, when he was the general secretary of BJP, he visited the Jawans and served them while the Kargil war was going on with Pakistan.
Here is an anecdote when Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat narrating how he facilitated the Jawans with fresh milk at the Kutch border.
Shri Aditya Chauhan, BJP leader from Uttarakhand recalls his meeting with PM Shri Modi in Haridwar. Chauhan’s elder brother is in BSF and had served at the Kutch border. He used to tell Chauhan that CM Shri Narendra Modi used to visit them on festivals.
In one such incident, while CM Shri Modi was on a visit to Kutch, the Jawans were interacting with him. They raised two significant points with CM Shri Modi. One, the entire area was marshy and there was electricity problem for the company of BSF. On their demand, CM Shri Modi made inverters and chargers available for the Jawans.
Another Jawan raised the issue of availability of fresh milk instead of packaged ones available there. To everyone’s surprise, CM Shri Narendra Modi made availability of cows for the Jawans to get them fresh milk.
Shri Aditya Chauhan terms these actions by Shri Narendra Modi as encouraging because he not only established communication with the central forces serving the international border, but also went over and beyond to meet their demands.
