Two-days after the Bhavya Kashi-Divya Kashi Programme steered by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP National President Shri JP Nadda led a contingent of eight Chief Ministers and five Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states to Ayodhya on 15 December, 2021 offered prayers at Hanumangarhi temple and Rama Janmabhoomi and performed AARTI on the banks of Saryu.

While a special puja was performed at the Ram Lalla shrine by chief priest Satyendra Das, the Sarya aarti was conducted by a prominent Ayodhya seer, Mahant Shashikant Das.

The Chief Ministers present at Ayodhya included Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Biplab Deb of Tripura, Dr. Pramod Sawant of Goa, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar of Haryana, Shri Hemant Biswa Sarma of Assam, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel of Gujarat, Shri Prema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh and Shri Nongthombam Biren Singh of Manipur. The Deputy Chief Ministers included Shri Yanthungo Patton of Nagaland, Shri Chowna Mein of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Tarkishore and Smt. Renu Devi of Bihar and Shri Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar of Goa.

Talking to reporters while receiving a model of the grand Ram temple, Shri JP Nadda said, “All Chief Ministers expressed their desire to have ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla during the Kashi dham corridor inauguration. We also wanted to review the construction of the temple. CMs keep meeting from time to time, since they had come to Kashi; they wanted to offer prayers at Ram Lalla too.”

MP Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “I am fortunate to visit Rama Janmabhoomi after temple construction began” his Assam counterpart Shri Hemant Biswa Sarma said, “Hinduism is not an agenda, it is a way of life. Luck will prevail after darshan of Lord Ram.”
