Bharatiya Janata Party is the need of the country: Jagat Prakash Nadda » Kamal Sandesh

Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed the Prabudh Jan Sammelan in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. During the event, BJP Madhya Pradesh President Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma, Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, BJP Jabalpur candidate Shri Ashish Dubey and several other BJP leaders were present. Shri Nadda commenced his address by taking the blessings of Chausath Yogini Mata, Nandi Keshwar Mandir, and Rani Durgawati.  Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that they were resigned to a certain kind of politics, thinking nothing would change, and that things would just continue as they were. However, after Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership for ten years, people now believe that change has come and more changes will be seen in the coming future.

Shri Nadda stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has brought a political change in the political culture. Earlier, common people would consider caste before voting, politics was influenced by casteism, followed by dynastic politics, and then appeasement politics. This was the old culture of politics. However, since Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power, dynasty politics has been removed, casteism has been eradicated, appeasement politics has been ended, and development-oriented politics has been promoted, ‘Vikas ki nayi ganga bahai hai’. And hence, the political culture of BJP involves the politics of development, accountability, report card, performance, and inclusiveness. However, for the opposition, the political culture differs greatly from that of the BJP. They perceive it as a politics of division, while the BJP speaks of inclusiveness and justice for all, and the opposition is seen as indulging in politics of appeasement. That’s why Bharatiya Janata Party speaks of ‘Sabka saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’.

Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda highlighted Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s transformative impact on the country’s political landscape. He emphasized that during the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic when nations struggled to balance humanitarian concerns with economic priorities, Shri Narendra Modi’s decisive leadership stood out. While other countries grappled with the dilemma of imposing lockdowns, PM Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Jaan hai to Jahan hai” guided India’s response, prioritizing both lives and livelihoods. After the nation had prepared, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi declared, “Jaan bhi hai aur Jahan bhi hai,” lifting the lockdown and steering the country towards development.

Shri Nadda emphasized that Tuberculosis medicine took 25-28 years to arrive in the country, tetanus medicine took 40 years, and the Japanese encephalitis vaccine took 100 years to become available in India. However, during COVID-19, Within 9 months, not only one but two vaccine doses were developed for the country to combat the virus. Moreover, 220 crore vaccine doses were manufactured, including booster shots, within a year to strengthen the country’s battle against the coronavirus. The opposition initially misled the country by labeling the vaccine as ‘Modi Teeka’, but they themselves took the vaccine secretly. Shri Nadda praised PM Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Vaccine Maitri’ policy, which provided the COVID-19 vaccine to 100 countries, including free vaccines for 48 countries.

On the strengthening of the Indian economy under the BJP government, Shri Nadda said that following the COVID era and the Russia-Ukraine war, the entire world suffered an economic setback, but  India under the guidance of PM Shri Narendra Modi, India entered the ‘bright spot’ of the economy, termed by IMF. The Morgan Stanley report highlights India’s progressive transformation since 2013, while Moody’s predicts a robust GDP growth of 8% by 2024. Shri Nadda noted international praise for India’s economic growth but criticized Congress for focusing on unemployment and inflation. Mockingly, he remarked that under PM Shri Narendra Modi, the Congress has become synonymous with “Berozgar.” Shri Nadda highlighted various countries’ inflation rates, noting that Russia’s is 6.3%, Turkey’s is 60%, Argentina’s is 93%, and Germany’s is 10%, contrasting them with India’s rate of 4.6%. He pointed out that under the UPA regime, India’s inflation rate never dropped below 10%. In terms of GDP growth, Shri Nadda compared India’s growth rate of 6.5% under PM Shri Narendra Modi with other countries. He mentioned that China’s growth rate is 4.6%, France’s is 1%, Germany’s is 5%, the UK’s is 6%, and the USA’s is 2.1%. Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that India has become 5th largest economy of the world surpassing the United Kingdom that once ruled over us for more than 200 years. Shri Nadda stated that in 9 years, the per capita income has increased to 2 Lakh.

Shri Nadda stated that India’s production in electronic manufacturing has increased by 500%, with electronic exports amounting to ₹70,000 crore being done by India. In 2014, 92% of mobile phones were imported to India after being manufactured abroad, however, today, 97% of mobile phones are being manufactured in India. Even Apple phones now bear the label ‘Made in India’. Today, India has surpassed Japan in the automobile industry and has become the world’s third-largest automobile market. In the pharmaceutical sector, India’s exports have increased by 138%. Today, India is providing the world with the cheapest and most effective medicines, serving humanity. The poverty line has risen with 25 crore people lifted above it, and according to the IMF, the incidence of poverty in India has decreased by one percent.

Additionally, 390 new universities and approximately 5300 colleges were established under the New Education Policy, a stark contrast to the disputes between education ministers over the national song during the UPA government. The new education policy reflects Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’.

Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that the new education policy emphasizes affordability, flexibility, equal opportunities, and analytical skills. From a global perspective, any international organization, be it QUAD, SCO, BRICS, or G7, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is invited, reflects India’s significant global presence under his leadership.

On India becoming a strong identity at the international level, Shri Nadda said that the G-20 has been historic with full participation from all of India. The African Union was granted permanent membership status, which took place during the G-20 under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The agreement to establish the European-Middle East economic corridor also took place in India. Today, India stands out as the most progressive country in the world from the perspective of global cooperation.

Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has consistently demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian assistance and global cooperation during times of crisis. From promptly extending aid to countries like Papua New Guinea and Maldives to providing support in resolving international conflicts such as those in Beijing and Sri Lanka, India has shown proactive engagement in addressing global challenges.

Shri Nadda highlighted India’s swift response in coordinating the evacuation of its citizens from conflict zones like Afghanistan and Ukraine, showcasing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s adept diplomacy and commitment to the safety of Indian nationals abroad. Additionally, he underscored India’s role in humanitarian missions such as bringing back Indian nurses safely from Yemen, illustrating India’s compassionate approach and dedication to assisting those in need worldwide.

Shri Nadda highlighted that under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has consistently been at the forefront of providing essential medicines to the world. Previously, discussions often included both India and Pakistan, but now no country associates India’s name with Pakistan. Recently, during Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States, discussions with the American President centered around technology, space research, and potential collaborations in humanitarian endeavors between India and the USA.

BJP National President highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the BJP government advocates for the welfare of villages, the poor, Dalits, the oppressed, marginalized, women, youth, and farmers. Through initiatives like the Ujjwala scheme, over 9 crore women have received LPG connections. Despite criticism from Congress, the BJP government has constructed 12 crore toilets, ensuring dignity for women and their families. Under the UPA Government, 18,000 villages lacked electricity. However, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ensured that all villages received electricity within 1000 days.

While discussing public welfare in Modi government, Shri Nadda said that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 80 crore people have received 5 kg of wheat, 5 kg of rice, and 1 kg of pulses, leading to the upliftment of 25 crore people from the poverty line. Additionally, Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, 11 crore 78 lakh people have received Rs. 2,000 per quarter month. Shri Nadda emphasized that due to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam Bill passed during the 2019 election, the Parliament will witness 33% female MPs, and by 2028, 33% female MLAs will be in the Madhya Pradesh assembly. He also noted the development projects in Jabalpur, including the construction of a super specialty hospital worth 250 crore, ongoing development at Jabalpur station, and the construction of a new airport costing 430 crore. Shri Nadda stated that under the Amrit Bharat program, the Jabalpur railway station will be designed so beautifully that one cannot differentiate between airports and railway stations

Bharatiya Janata Party National President stated that on one hand, PM Shri Narendra Modi has a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and has a motto of ‘Bhrashtachar Hatao’, whereas the INDI Alliance says ‘Bhrashtachar Bachao’. Shri Nadda stated that on one hand, the country is on the path of rapid development under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, while the INDI Alliance is focused on safeguarding their families. Leaders of the INDI Alliance are either in jail or on bail. Figures like Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendar Jain, and Manish Sisodia are currently in jail, while others like Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are out on bail.

Shri Nadda pointed out that dynastic politics prevails in various regions across India. In Jammu & Kashmir, parties led by Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah are examples. Similarly, dynastic rule is observed in Punjab with the Badal family, in Haryana with the Chautala family, in Uttar Pradesh with the Samajwadi Party, in Bihar with the RJD family, and in Bengal with Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee. Additionally, dynastic politics is evident in Telangana under KCR and his family, in Tamil Nadu with the family of MK Stalin, and in Maharashtra with the Pawar family. Moreover, he criticized that the INC has become a party dominated by family members, earning it the label of ‘Maa, Beta, Beti ki party’, and being associated with corruption. Shri Nadda highlighted several instances of alleged corruption and legal troubles involving prominent leaders across political parties. He mentioned that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are out on bail in the National Herald case, Akhilesh Yadav faces corruption charges related to the Gomti front and Laptop distribution schemes, and Lalu and Tejashwi Yadav are implicated in the Land-for-job scam. Additionally, ministers of Mamata Banerjee’s government are accused of corruption, and the KCR family is linked to a liquor scam. Arvind Kejriwal is currently in jail in connection with a liquor scam as well. While making concluding remarks, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda urged the people to support the BJP and elect Shri Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, emphasizing that it’s not just a party’s need but a necessity for the nation.
