Moment of glory for every Indian » Bhajpa Ki Baat

While the Delhi G20 summit will be remembered for its theme of manifesting an all-encompassing vision, its elaborate arrangements, grandeur, and Indian hospitality along with its meaningful outcomes will be remembered for a long time to come. As the shadow of deep divisions in the bitterly polarised world loomed large over the summit, India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, rightly deserves the credit for forging consensus and drafting an all-acceptable New Delhi Declaration, which was adopted at the very outset of the event. It was a huge achievement acknowledged by everyone in the given situation, when the world appears divided on various contentious issues. In addition to this, the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and the Global Biofuel Alliance are other landmark initiatives that are going to create new horizons in the world trade, creating new opportunities while opening the doors of countless possibilities. The G20 summit and its bilateral engagements have produced the Green Development Pact, Action Plan on Sustainable Development Goals, High Level Principles on Anti-Corruption, Support for Digital Public Infrastructure, and Reform of Multilateral Development Banks, which are going to pave the way for new dimensions of bilateral and multilateral engagements. The summit will be remembered for its remarkable initiatives and path-breaking achievements.

The grand success of the G20 Summit came along with the incredible success of Chandrayaan-3 and the launch of India’s first solar mission, Aditya-L1. The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the south pole of the moon’s surface, where no other nation has landed so far, is globally celebrated as a huge achievement for India. While the Prime Minister congratulated the ISRO scientists for their unforgettable and unprecedented achievement, he said such historical events have become part of the national consciousness. While saying that the mission is not an

achievement of India alone but of the entire human race, he reiterated India’s commitment to a human-centric approach to serving humanity. The success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission represents the spirit of India, which believes in constant endeavour, faith in science and technology as the harbinger of a bright future, and the aspirations of the Indian people to touch new horizons in every sector and realise the dream of ‘Viksit Bhart’ in the ‘Amrit Kaal’. The BJP National President, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, while congratulating the nation and ISRO scientists on the exceptionally successful mission, also emphasised the fact that out of 89 launch missions by ISRO since its establishment in 1969, 47 have been under the Modi government in the last nine years.

The inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member of the G20 is a major achievement for which India took initiative under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who feels that the voice of African nations and the global south should be given importance at the global level. It is to be noted that in the post-Covid world, while India has emerged successful in converting challenges into opportunities, the world is still reeling under its aftermath. In such a scenario, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has rightly laid emphasis on the resilience and reliability of the global supply chain and the need to boost multilateralism through the reform of global institutions. The G20 Summit, while highlighting the democratic ethos of India, also presented the ancient Indian culture, with a Nataraja statue gracing the Bharat Mandapam for G20 delegates in Delhi and Nalanda University’s image as a backdrop at the greeting area for the President’s dinner for delegates. The G20 summit, Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya L-1 are moments of glory for every Indian.
